Getting Here

Access by private car is permitted as far as Täsch (approx. 6 km from Zermatt), and the road from Täsch to Zermatt is closed to public traffic. In Täsch there are multi-storey car parks and public parking spaces available. 

Transfer to Zermatt
Some private car parks offer a taxi service to and from Zermatt. The shuttle trains of the Matterhorn-Gotthard Railway run every 20 minutes from Täsch to Zermatt.

The easiest way to travel to Zermatt is by train. Visp is easily accessible from all railway stations in Switzerland and from Zurich and Geneva airports. Enjoy the journey from Visp to Zermatt on the Matterhorn-Gotthard-Railway and the fantastic views of the Valais mountains.
Timetable

Matterhorn Lodge is a 3-minute walk from the railway station. On Bahnhofstrasse you walk straight ahead towards the church, turn left immediately before the church, turn left again after twenty metres and Matterhorn Lodge is another 100 steps away.

If you wish, we will pick you up at the train station in Zermatt with our electric vehicle. Call us when you board the shuttle or taxi in Täsch and we will ready for you on time at Zermatt train station or at the transfer point (taxi transfer terminus).

SBB takes luggage from station to station or from door to door. This leaves your hands and head free for a carefree journey.
